And in the surrounding areas...

Well-being: culture, nature, beauty.

Euganean Hills

The Euganean Baths are surrounded by beauty. Cities of art like Venice, Padua, Vicenza and Ferrara are only few kilometres away and easy to get to. They offer cultural events of international importance as well as artistic and architectural heritage. The famous Palladio's Euganean Villas or a trip in the nature of the Euganean Hills can be a pleasant change, which can renew and refresh your holiday. We suggest the most significant amongst big international events and occasions to discover the traditions, the local culture, the cuisine and the wines.

Sardinia

In the surrounding areas you can find important archaeological sites (Nuraghi) and Nuragic villages.
Province of Cagliari:
Barumini - Nuragic complex: "Su Nuraxi"
Gesturi - Protonuraghe "Brunku Madagui"
Villanovaforru - Nuragic village "Gennamaria"
Villanovafranca - Nuraghe "Su Mulinu"

Our suggestions:

A thousand fires for Saint Anthony
All over Sardinia, in the night of 16th January, huge bonfires burn in honour of the saint near churches until dawn, accompanied by suggestive country festivals, fireworks and musical bands.

Saint Efisio's festival
For 345 year a multitude of believers have met up in Cagliari to keep the vow to the saint martyr warrior Efisio. They come from all over the island by the sound of 'launeddas', dressed in their traditional costumes. They ride old carts (Is Traccas) pulled by adorned oxen.
A great festival, where popular tradition and religious faith unite in remembrance of the vow made by the Cagliaritan people oppressed by a terrible plague...

Butterfly Arc- the house of butterflies
It's the first Italian butterfly house and it's one of the most important existing living museums of natural life. An appointment not to be missed by those who have been fascinated by these beautiful insects and, as children, used to follow their flight daydreaming.

Villa Beatrice d'Este- the Naturalistic Museum of the Euganean Hills
This ancient complex with a mystical charm rises in a desirable position, on the top of mount Gemola. Nowadays it hosts the National Museum of the Euganean Hills and the ancient rooms document the different species of plants and animals which used to populate the Paduan territory.
